Use account management to request catalog access for yourself or another person. A request asks for permission; it does not grant access until the applicable checks and approval complete.
Sign in to account management with your normal account. Know the service, intended recipient, and how long access is needed. For someone else's request, confirm their need first.
- Open Request access in the self-service menu.
- Choose yourself as the recipient.
- Browse or search the catalog. Read the service description carefully: ordinary use and administration are different permissions.
- Add the intended service and continue to checkout.
- Review the recipient, access, and duration. For standard access, Indefinite means no scheduled expiry; choose a finite period for temporary needs.
- Provide a useful reason where requested and submit once.
- Return to Home and review My requests for progress and outcome.
Expected result: the request appears for tracking. A pending request is not active access. After approval, check My accesses, then sign in to the service.
- Open Request access and select Other users.
- Search by username or name. Results show names with usernames; confirm the exact person rather than picking the first similar name.
- Select the recipient and intended access.
- Check the recipient again at checkout, select duration, explain the need, and submit.
- Follow My requests. The eventual access belongs to the selected person, not you.
Roles of teammate can help find access held by a teammate. Treat it as a starting point, not a recommendation to copy all their permissions. It does not bypass approval or authorize editing their profile or password.
Only explicitly requestable access appears. Search its usual name and check you are using your normal account. If still absent, Contact Tyler using your existing contact details. Explain what you need to do; do not request an unrelated administrative role as a workaround.
- Check the correct person and service were requested, and the start/end dates make access active now.
- Look under My accesses. Read request failures or pending-operation messages.
- Sign out and back into the affected application once to refresh access information.
- If denied, contact Tyler with the service, outcome, and time. Approval and delivery to the application are separate steps; this guide promises no fixed completion time.
- Expired: request another appropriate duration if still needed. Password reset does not renew access.
- Rejected: read the explanation and discuss it with the approver before resubmitting.
- Wrong recipient or service: contact Tyler promptly. A corrected request does not necessarily cancel the first.
- No longer needed: follow removing access.
Privileged access has additional account and duration requirements in the signed-in guide.
