Jellyfin lets you watch the films and TV series shared with your Trafford account.
Open the application portal and find
Jellyfin. Choose Request access. In the access portal, request the
Media Server service and complete the approval process.
An approved request may take a short time to reach the applications. Return to
the application portal and choose Refresh access. Media Server is standard
viewing access; it does not grant server administration.
Jellyfin may ask you to sign in even if you are already signed into the portal.
Use your ordinary account for watching. A separate administrator account is
for administration, not everyday viewing.
Wholphin is the preferred client for Android TV and Google TV. Follow
the Wholphin setup steps below.
It is a third-party app that connects to your existing Jellyfin account.
Use the tables below for computers, phones, tablets, TVs, consoles, and music
players. Official means maintained by the Jellyfin project; third-party
means a separate developer. The links lead to the publisher's store listing,
downloads, or installation instructions. Check device compatibility there before
installing; store availability depends on your model, software version, and region.

The desktop project lists both
downloads and development builds. Prefer a published release when available;
development builds may have unfinished changes. Desktop playback support can
differ from a browser, especially for audio and subtitles.

For other TV or console systems, check the
complete Jellyfin client directory
for a compatible app. Do not assume an Android TV APK works on every smart TV.
If no compatible client is listed for your device, use a supported external
streaming device or a computer connected to the TV. A TV browser may have
limited playback support.
If a store link will not open on your phone or computer, search for Jellyfin in
the device's own store and use the linked project page to confirm the publisher.
Chromecast with Google TV can run Wholphin directly. A Chromecast without an
app store instead receives playback from another device.
Expected result: the selected receiver plays the title. Casting availability
depends on the sender, receiver, and network. The
Android project's build notes
confirm that Google Play includes Chromecast support while F-Droid does not.
For AirPlay, use a client that offers it, such as
Infuse, and check its device requirements.
If no receiver appears, check the network and the chosen client's casting
support, then try a native TV app. For a computer controlled from another
Jellyfin client, Jellyfin MPV Shim
provides a separate receiver option with its own installation instructions.
These clients only help if your account already has a matching shared library.
Their availability does not mean Trafford provides every media type.

Other integrations, including Discord music bots, are listed in the
full client catalog. Ask Tyler about
shared integrations; installing a personal client does not authorize sharing
your account or libraries with other people.
You need: approved Media Server access, your normal Trafford username and
password, an internet connection, and a compatible installed client.
Install the chosen client using its linked store or publisher instructions.
Open it and use its add-server option. Labels vary; Wholphin uses Add
Server. Enter this full server address, not the application portal address:

Sign in with your normal Trafford username and password. Do not assume your
contact email is your username. Follow the linked client instructions if the
screen differs; use password sign-in when offered.
Open a shared library, select a title, and start playback. Check audio and
subtitles, then stop playback when finished.
Expected result: your existing shared libraries appear. Installing a client
does not create an account, request access, or unlock extra libraries. Updates
come from the store or installation method you chose.
If the app cannot find the server automatically, enter the address manually.
If it connects but cannot sign in, try Jellyfin in a browser
and use account recovery
if needed. If only one client fails, record its name/version, device, title, and
error wording. Contact Tyler using your existing contact details. Never send
your password or a sign-in code.
You need: approved Media Server access, your normal Trafford username and
password, an internet-connected TV device, and its remote. Wholphin is designed
for remote or game-controller input, not a touchscreen-only phone.

Installing Wholphin does not create an account or request Media Server access.
Google Play handles updates for its installation. If Wholphin is unavailable
for your device, check the project's
installation and compatibility instructions.
The developer also publishes APKs through
GitHub releases.
Follow those instructions if you choose that installation method.

Include the TV model, Wholphin version, title, and error wording. Do not include
your password. Use Jellyfin in a browser while the client problem is investigated.
Use Jellyfin Requests to look for films and
series and request additions. Submitting a media request does not mean it is
immediately available to watch. Check its request status and return to
Jellyfin once it is available.
