Nextcloud is the file library and sharing service. Shared folders may have different rights from your own files.
You need approved Nextcloud access and the application permissions for your task. Use the portal's Request access guidance if you do not have it. Open Nextcloud.
¶ Upload and share a file
- Open Nextcloud and complete the Trafford sign-in. Select Files, then the folder where the file belongs.
- Use the + upload menu, or drag a file into the file list. Wait for the transfer to finish.
- Open the uploaded file to check it. Use the file action menu for Details, then open its sharing controls.
- Select the intended person or create a share link if your permissions allow it. Choose the minimum required rights and any available expiry or password settings.
- Confirm the intended recipient and permissions before sending the link. Return to the sharing controls when you need to revoke it.
Expected result: The file opens from Nextcloud and the sharing panel shows the intended recipient or link.
For desktop or mobile synchronization, use https://cloud.trafford.net and complete the browser authorization when prompted. Choose folders deliberately. Deleting a synchronized file can propagate to other devices; sync is not a separate backup.
- Upload fails: check your quota, destination write permission, filename, and network connection before retrying.
- Shared folder is missing or read-only: confirm which account you used and ask the owner about the share rights.
- Desktop sync reports a conflict: keep both versions until you compare them; do not delete a version just to clear the warning.
